Study Planner integration
Timetable Planner reads your Semester Planner and Graduation Tracker plans and turns them into reusable course filters. This lets you move from long-term degree planning to a section-level timetable without copying course codes one by one.
The integration is read-only: changing a timetable does not add, remove, or rearrange courses in a Semester Planner or Graduation Tracker plan.
Use a Semester Planner term
- Clear the timetable course search.
- Under Study Planner, select Semester Planner.
- Choose All plans or one Semester Planner plan.
- Choose a planned term, such as Year 2 Fall.
- Select Show courses.
The selected source becomes a search chip. You can combine it with text, class-time, Common Core, bookmark, or other source filters.
If no Semester Planner plan exists, select Open Semester Planner, create a plan, and add courses to at least one planned term.
Use Graduation Tracker courses
-
Clear the timetable course search.
-
Under Study Planner, select Graduation Tracker.
-
Choose All plans or one Graduation Tracker plan.
-
Choose one of these sources:
- Planned courses for courses already placed in the graduation plan;
- a curriculum requirement for courses that can satisfy it; or
- a specific area when the selected requirement contains areas.
-
Select Show courses.
If no Graduation Tracker plan exists, select Open Graduation Tracker and create one first.
Combine sources with timetable constraints
Study Planner sources participate in the same Boolean search as course text and time filters.
For example:
- Add a Semester Planner chip, then type
COMPto keep only COMP courses from that planned term. - Add a Graduation Tracker requirement chip, then add
LEC@Tue,Thuto find compatible lecture combinations that meet on those days. - Select a source chip on a result to add that exact source to your current expression.
The result's source chips show why a course matched. Hover over a chip to see its full plan, curriculum, requirement, or area hierarchy.
Refresh integration data
Timetable Planner loads Study Planner data when the page opens. After changing a Semester Planner or Graduation Tracker plan, return to Timetable Planner and select Reload course data in the top-right toolbar.
Reloading refreshes course schedule data, Study Planner sources, and the current timetable plan. Save timetable changes first if you want them persisted immediately.
Offered and unoffered courses
The integration can surface courses referenced by your Study Planner even when they are not offered in the timetable plan's academic term. These courses are labelled Not offered in the selected timetable term and cannot be added. Change to a timetable plan for another academic term only by creating or opening a plan for that term.
